Background

Before doing accessibility work, I was a biology professor studying flesh-eating bacterial infections and plant microbes, which are tiny living beings that cannot be seen without microscopes. As a professor, I often was required to make sure science experiments were accessible.

I became passionate about making sure learners received the highest quality materials and instruction possible with accessibility in mind. My favorite achievement recently was partnering with engineering professors to 3D-print braille periodic tables for students with visual impairments or blindness to access data science, excel in their classes, and land their dream jobs in biomedical research, chemical engineering, and business. How exciting!

Today, I'm still interested in empowering communities, but through data science and machine learning. At my core, I love uplifting people!
